In this era of social media, it's easy for us to get our heads around why we should be using it to connect with others. We're all over the internet, so why not use your own voice? You can create a personal brand online in order to make more income, have fun in addition to getting recognition when you post on there, and even help other people. However, I do believe that blogging has its pros as well as cons because it opens up a wealth of possibilities, but also means that we should start small. That means that we need to know what we're doing so we can continue by knowing the basics. If we don't know if we should be doing anything at all, we'll never get to see results of the time or money that we put into blogging.
And that's where it comes down to us as bloggers. As long as we choose the right method, we can reach out to others to share our knowledge which will ultimately help them. I'm still amazed by what I learn from all my fellow bloggers, they have such varied opinions of what makes you successful, so many different ways to do things!
How Does This Work? (It Can)
In 2009, The Social Capital Conference was held where about 90 percent of attendees had something to say about blogging and their future plans with writing. Of course, most people only think of writing when they want tips and ideas for content, or when they are looking to generate passive income from their hard work. However, blogging is a great way to actually help those who have lost jobs, become self-sufficient, achieve financial freedom with less stress, gain more followers, and much more.
The first step is finding out what kind of blogger you are. Are you an expert? Then, we have to figure out then what you want to blog about, to find the topics that you're passionate about, why. And then, once you have figured that out, here's the next step, the one that takes some serious amount of research and effort so as to find answers for that to be a success.
Find Your Niche - It's Harder Than You Think But Also Not Too Much
The best way to get started on your blogging journey is to really focus in on what makes you happy and enjoy posting. Because if that's not a main topic for you, how are you going to earn a steady stream of income on? Luckily, it doesn't take much to enter your niche and grow your traffic that quickly. Take note that the first thing that I did when I decided to write about food (because i love food), was to find out what kinds of foods were popular with my readers. From there, it was easy to jump right into food blogging because I already knew the ingredients and used ingredients that were popular with my audience. All that researching took me less than five minutes and I was ready to go. Then, I would sit back and figure out exactly what it meant to write about food and make a list of what types of food they enjoyed eating. With the information that I had already found out, I wanted to give to my blog, so I decided that I didn't want to just write a simple article with all the important info and links that I could. I wanted to take that extra step and figure out what was happening. Once I made that final decision before starting my blog, I was able to decide whether or not my blog would become successful.
It's A Big Decision - Nowadays, we all have options, but it can sometimes feel overwhelming when making those decisions that have such consequences. Making a big leap at any moment can be frightening but that's the reason I tell myself that when I have the opportunity, to try something new, it is always a good idea to take it.
Be Confident About What Kind Of Content You Want To Publish.
For those of you who got this part wrong, I believe that having confidence when it comes to blogging was the problem. When you write, you have to look at yourself when making a choice like, blogging can either be the easiest way to make money, or difficult, or too difficult. You can also get frustrated at times when someone does something that you know that you can do better, but don't. One day I remember doing something I liked and felt bad about because I made a mistake, and I realized that I would've never gotten that chance again if I had never stumbled upon the blog I started. That's when I thought about taking it.
When I think of taking a leap in my blogging career, I always remind myself that it's completely possible to fail to the point where nothing else matters because the end result is yours, and you deserve every single penny you make. No matter what type of blog you have, no matter what you want to blog about, or even what age you are, if you can get it done well, chances are that you can turn it all around for the better! Hopefully, by now, you've understood the importance of blogging and have now decided to start small. Don't be afraid to keep your eye on the prize, and don't leave any stones unturned in the process, you'll be rewarded in the end and you will have earned everything you ever wanted with blogging!
